This is choose your own adventure horror without the page numbers. There's no fixed set of endings waiting at the back of the book. You're in a small town where the radio only plays static after midnight, or a cabin deep in the woods, or a house that should have stayed empty, and the AI writes what happens next around whatever you decide to do.
Pick a suggested choice, or type your own: lock the door, check the basement anyway, lie to the sheriff about what you saw. The game tracks three stats. Vitality is your body, and if it hits zero, that's the end of you. Sanity is your grip on what's real, and it slips when you look at things you shouldn't. Luck decides whether the car starts on the third try. Your stats determine whether what you attempt actually works, so courage alone won't save you.
The story remembers. The scratch on your arm from chapter one, the neighbor you didn't let in, the flashlight you left behind: it all comes back. Play a ready-made survivor, build your own character, or switch to Snappy style when you want the dread to move faster.

Ideas for your first action
Give your character a specific action and a goal. Describe what you try to do, then let the story respond instead of deciding the outcome yourself.
Horror / Survival: questions players ask
Is this a horror text adventure?
Yes. Plotwarp plays like a horror text adventure crossed with interactive fiction: you read a scene, then choose or type your action. The difference from a classic parser game is that the AI understands plain language and writes a fresh response each turn, so you aren't hunting for the one verb the game accepts.
Can my character actually die?
Yes. Vitality is the vital stat in horror. Take enough damage and the run can end, and low Sanity or bad Luck makes every risky move more likely to fail. Nothing is guaranteed to save you. That's the point: when the stakes are real, the decision to open the cellar door actually means something.
How scary does it get?
Expect slow-burn dread and survival tension more than nonstop gore. You steer the tone with your choices, and you can type actions that push deeper into the dark or pull back toward safety. Settings range from haunted houses to isolated towns and deep forest, and each starter story sets its own mood.
Can I make my own horror story?
You can create your own character with a name, look and personality and play them in any horror starter, or use Freeform mode to describe a setting of your own, like a night shift at a hospital that closed in 1994. Either way, the story keeps track of what happened chapters ago.
